Hello reader friends! So, to play this game/tag what you first need to do is think of some of your favorite characters – 30 of them. It may be easy for you, but even though I’ve read a crazy amount of books in my life, it was still a little challenging coming up with 30 that I thought would be good for this tag.
After you come up with your best characters, next is to write them all down on a piece of paper, cut them into strips (or whichever shape you want really) and fold them up, placing them in either a cup/bowl/hat/etc. – or you can choose a cool coffee mug like I did!
Once you’re all done with the set-up, it’s time to play the game! You pick out 2 characters at random to answer the following questions, and whoever you decide to discard becomes the “Not Good Enough” character (hence – “You’re Not Good Enough Tag”)

Question 1: You have only one more spot on your Spelling Bee team, who would you pick to complete your team?
Katsa (Graceling) OR Bilbo Baggins (The Hobbit)Although I adore Katsa’s character (and she could probably beat up the opposing team if I asked her to), I really think Bilbo would be the best choice for this. He’s a hobbit, and that means he has spent a lot of time inside and he probably reads a lot. Given his certain circumstances, he has lived a long life – he would know how to spell a ton of words.

Question 2: Both characters want to kill you, which one would you kill first so that you have a better chance of surviving?
Jace Herondale (The Mortal Instruments) OR Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter)I would definitely kill Jace Herondale, because, HELLO?! He’s a badass Shadowhunter and I know he’s “good” and all, but he’s also a SHADOWHUNTER… and even though Neville is a wizard and is probably one of the bravest Gryffindors out there, he wasn’t raised by a psychotic killer, like Jace was.. and I could probably stall Neville long enough before he actually killed me, with Jace, I’d have zero chance.

Question 3: You’re on the bachelor/bachelorette and you’re down to these two characters, which one are you going to give your rose to?
Kit Herondale (The Dark Artifices) OR Klaus Baudelaire (A Series of Unfortunate Events)They’re both so young, like majorly young! Klaus more than Kit, but since Kit is a tad older, it would have to be him. Even though these are total fictional characters, I still feel weird about it. However, the reason I choose Kit over Klaus is because Kit is a Shadowhunter (and I do love those Shadowhunters), plus he’s sweet and a Herondale… all Herondales are gorgeous.

Question 4: You’ve been chosen for the Hunger Games, who would most likely volunteer in your place?
Gavriel (The Coldest Girl in Coldtown) OR Dimitri Belikov (Vampire Academy)Oh man, they’re both the “hero-type”, so I can imagine both of them coming to my rescue, but since I have to pick… I’d probably say Dimitri because he knows all the moves and could probably kick everyone’s ass in the arena (including Gavriel’s). Dimitri has killed ancient vampires, he could easily hold his own in the Games.

Question 5: You’re stranded on an island. Which character would you sacrifice to engage in cannibalism?
Rowan Whitethorn (Throne of Glass) OR Tana (The Coldest Girl in Coldtown)Okay, first – eating flesh? Gross. Second, 100% would be Tana. Rowan is one of the most perfect male characters in the existence of books, and I could never! Plus he isn’t exactly human, so I’m not so sure my stomach would be able to handle that.

Question 6: You’re the next DC/Marvel superhero (with your own TV show of course), who is your sidekick?
Chaol Westfall (Throne of Glass) OR Jacob Black (Twilight)NOT Chaol Westfall, that’s for sure. He ruins ALL the plans. Plus Jacob is a werewolf, that would be the best sidekick!

Question 7: You’re a manager of an Avocado Admiring Company, who would you fire for lack of communication skills?
Magnus Bane (The Mortal Instruments) OR Prince Maven Calore (Red Queen)HA. HAHAHA. Well considering that Maven is a backstabber and LIAR, I’d say his communication skills are a bit lacking. If I could fire him more than once I would. And Magnus is an adorable warlock who just wants love and everything to work out. And also if I fired him, he could probably turn me into a rat.

Question 8: You’ve just finished a book in which your favorite character dies, which character is most likely to comfort you?
Rhysand (A Court of Thorns and Roses) OR Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)Hmm… this is a tough one, but I would have to say that Hermione would be there to dry my tears, because she understands books. Now, I’m not sure if Rhysand would comfort me, but I would sure love him to, he’s my perfect man.

Question 9: Ugh, it’s high school. Who would most likely be part of the popular clique?
Prince Kaito “Kai” (The Lunar Chronicles) OR Tamlin (A Court of Thorns and Roses)I think they both would fit perfectly with the “in crowd”, but I would probably choose Tamlin because his character is the douchey type and I have grown to dislike him immensely. Not saying that all popular kids fit that stereotype, but for the ones that are – Tamlin would fit right in. Kai would probably be one of those really nice kids that everyone likes, or the artsy type.

Question 10: The day has arrived; you’re finally a year older! Who would have the nerve to forget your birthday?
Linh Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles) OR Emmett Cullen (Twilight)Emmett would. He may be an ultra hot vampire (and my favorite character in the Twilight series), but let’s just agree that out of these two characters, it will always be Emmett.

Question 11: You’ve just found an upcoming BookTube star? Who would that most likely be?
Rose Hathaway (Vampire Academy) OR Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)Can I just say, picturing Rose as a BookTuber is pretty damn hilarious, she would more likely have a channel where you could learn to defend yourself while simultaneously being able to decapitate someone. Luna would be the cutest BookTuber ever and I would be a faithful supporter.

Question 12: Sleepover time! Unfortunately you can only invite one person, who would you invite?
Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games) OR Aelin Ashryver Galathynius (Throne of Glass)I would totally invite Aelin! That way she can dish all about Rowan and I would just sit there and listen to her talk about how gorgeous he is. She also could tell me all of her stories and that would be amazing.

Question 13: Bam, you’re pregnant. Who’s the father/mother?
Ned Stark (A Game of Thrones) OR Prince Greening Grandemalion “Po” (Graceling)
Well. I would definitely hate to be a Stark right now, because things just don’t seem to working out for that family and I don’t want to die in some horrible way like being beheaded or stabbed… so Prince Po would be a nice alternative.

Question 14: You’ve just written a super important text. Who would “see” it, but not reply?
Count Olaf (A Series of Unfortunate Events) OR Mark Blackthorn (The Dark Artifices)Knowing Count Olaf’s character, he would probably ignore it… come to think of it, does Mark even know how to use a cell phone? I mean, he was in Faerie all that time…but if it was important, I can see Mark at LEAST trying. Olaf would probably chuckle to himself as he deleted my contact info and tossed his phone into Lake Lachrymose. So yeah, Count Olaf.
