The Year 2022

To Choose A New Beginning

At the end of 2021, I made a list of manifestations. Here is a list of what I wrote down:

  • I want to write my own successful, book series and become a New York Times Bestseller.
  • I want to make a career of writing and surround myself with books and happiness.
  • I want to become successful enough so that my family remains comfortable and safe.
  • I want to live the rest of my life healthy and active.
  • I want to find the kind of love that I’ve read in my books.
  • I want to have the ability and resources to help others and make the world a kinder place.
  • I want to have my own place to live that is safe and close to my family.
  • I want to master a foreign language.

I think I know myself quite well because although I didn’t achieve any of these, I gave myself up to three years to complete them all. At the time, these sounded like pretty attainable goals within a three year time limit.

Now that I really think about it though, those are lifetime goals that I have for myself and I’m actually on my way to achieving a couple of them, but three years, a time limit (though admirable) isn’t going to help me complete these. I think over this past year, what I’ve learned is that putting a time constraint or time limit on big goals like these isn’t the way to go – at least not for me.

So.

For the Year of 2022 (sounds so futuristic it’s kinda wild) I want to make a list of smaller yet still life-impactful goals. I’m also going to cut the list in half, maybe I’ll add more goals along the way. Anyways, here are some of those:

  • Earn my Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Make my health my top priority.
  • Travel to a place I really want to go (whether it be within the states or overseas).
  • Find a reason to be happy every single day of this year.

I hope I can also keep up with this blog, but not sure if I’ll be able to do that, so I’m not even going to make it a goal hahaha. But I would like to post updates on here of my short term and lifetime goals, let you guys know where I’m at with everything.

I also want to hear about some of your lifetime or short term goals! Feel free to comment on this post, shoot me an email at: ashmunday@gmail.com or DM me via Instagram at my bookstagram page .

Happy New Year and as always, Happy Reading

x Ash
