Hello fellow book friends
and possible newcomers!
I have decided to make yet another comeback with my blog by giving you my 2019 February To Be Read (TBR) pile.
I have already purchased all of the books I plan on reading for this upcoming month aside from “Lady Smoke” by Laura Sebastian because it doesn’t hit the shelves until February 5th.
Without further ado, here are the books that I am very much looking forward to:
FEBRUARY TBR PILE
Novels
- Queen of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artifices #3) by Cassandra Clare
- If I am being completely honest, I have already started it and I’ve missed the characters so much. It’s incredibly good so far, even though I’ve only read 65 out of the whole 880 pages.
- Evermore (Everless #2) by Sarah Holland
- I am SO excited for this and have heard incredibly good things so far. What’s really cool is that sometime last year when Everless first came out, I had posted a photo of it and Sarah Holland replied! She commented that it was a beautiful photo and I felt so accomplished – head over to my Instagram account to check that out!
- The Essence Thief by Adrianna W. Collins
- BTS ARMY WHERE YOU AT?? If I am correct, I believe that this book was actually written as an AU at first by the lovely Adrianna W. Collins and she decided to publish it. Of course, being a fellow ARMY, I decided to buy it and see what it’s about! Go check out her Twitter account! —–> Adrianna’s Twitter
- Lady Smoke (Ash Princess #2) by Laura Sebastian
- I thought “Ash Princess” was a really good read and since “Lady Smoke” is coming out in the next few days, I’m so looking forward to getting my hands on it!
- Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee
- This one just seemed like fun and I’m all about dragons so why not??
Manga
- Erased vol. 2 by Kei Sanbe
- The first volume of this manga WAS SO GOOD, such a cool story/plot, and fun fact, I have a friend who is reading this series with me!
- Haikyuu vol. 2 by Haruichi Furudate
- Haikyuu vol. 3 by Haruichi Furudate
- Volleyball is my favorite sport, plus I love a good underdog story. I’ve also watched two seasons of the anime and just had to buy the books.
LIFE UPDATE
I have decided that I want to be just a tad more personal on here because I figured why the heck not? I’m hardly active on any of my other social medias (aside from my Twitter accounts), so this would be a great outlet!
I am very excited to say that I am volunteering with an up and coming nonprofit book publishing company! It’s been my dream to be among books and people who love them as much as I do and this is a great stepping stone into that line of work.
I will be helping and guiding young adults in writing and publishing their own books/series. I AM PUMPED. I’ve met with one middle schooler already and she is my book twin – she loves all things Sarah J. Maas and has created her own pieces of writing inspired by the brilliant NY Times best seller. This young woman is also an INCREDIBLE illustrator and I am so envious at how masterful she is at it! She’s totally brought her characters to life from her drawings and I can’t wait to read what she has written so far and help her achieve her goal of writing this book.

In other news, I am going to be trying to update here more often. If not once a week then at least once a month. Aaaand I might be purchasing a new laptop soon – I need an upgrade from what I’m using, pronto!
Cheers to new reads and new adventures,
-Ash
Thanks for the book suggestions! Going to enjoy them with a Saturday morning cup of coffee!
